Support Literacy

Dear Reader,

Newspapers in Education (NIE) has been a part of thousands of area classrooms for over 30 years. In that time, NIE has provided literally millions of newspapers to educators, at no cost to them, to use as a key literacy tool and a virtual and living text book in all school subjects.

Studies show that students can increase their standardized test scores 10% - 30% through use of the newspaper.

Through projects involving readers, advertisers, community minded individuals and partnerships with area organizations and businesses, we are able to continue this valuable literacy initiative of the Post-Dispatch.

If literacy and education are causes you support, please read on...
