Hispanic Heritage Month 2019

Revealing the History of Hispanic Immigrants in St. Louis

Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.

NIE and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of St. Louis have teamed up to provide the bilingual content below. This lesson offers your students the opportunity to learn the long and rich history of Hispanics in our area. Plus, have your students practice their Spanish skills by reading the Spanish language version!
