LEMAY — Natalie "Pines" Berry always cracks a smile when the blue victory screen pops up on her computer.

The Notre Dame junior gets a rush when she hears her teammates cheering loudly in her headphones.

Yes, esports is a big deal for the all-girls school.

"It's really cool for us," Berry said. "We're technically one of the only all-girls schools in the country to have an all-girls esports team."

Notre Dame is only all-girls school in Missouri to sport an esports team.

Washington University's Olin Business School has taken top place in a new ranking of MBA entrepreneurship programs.

Poets & Quants, a 10-year-old website covering business education, ranks Olin ahead of No. 2 Babson College, No. 3 Michigan, No. 4 Stanford and No. 5 Harvard.

Cap-tipping time to Girls Inc. of St. Louis and its chief executive, Cheryl Jones.

The group, which supports school-age females from ages 5 through 18 through various programs and services, was named Monday as an outstanding affiliate of the national organization.

The St. Louis chapter was one of three, out of 78 in the U.S., that was honored. The chapter serves more than 8,000 girls a year and more than 80 women in college.

Tim Miller knew the crash was coming.

When the coronavirus pandemic overtook the country in late March, Miller’s company, Prepcasts, already was scheduled to live stream several of the state quarterfinal basketball games in the area. After fan restrictions were put in place to limit any potential exposure to COVID-19, Miller’s online audience grew exponentially.

Too big in fact.

Moments into the first games the demand overwhelmed Prepcasts website and crashed it.

When it comes to the best colleges in Missouri, the deal is roughly the same, but the deck has been shuffled a bit.

To no surprise, the top card is Washington University in St. Louis, ranked as the No. 1 college or university in the state. It also came in at No. 32 out of the 1,009 U.S. schools included in the analysis.

But the latest survey from personal finance website WalletHub does show a few changes in the rest of the order.
