MARYLAND HEIGHTS — Call them “coach” on the court, but they’re Mom or Dad at home.
Three basketball coaches at Pattonville High School have dual roles as parents of their players.
“I treat her like she’s just another kid,” said junior varsity head coach Lisa Foust, whose freshman daughter Hannah, 15, is a guard. “No favors given. As soon as we walk out of the gym, I’m her mom again.”
Foust also played basketball for Pattonville, graduating in 1998. Her own dad coached her teams as a kid, so it feels natural to coach Hannah in basketball and softball.
